Karla Suarez
Fundadora y CEO
Karla es Analista de Conducta Certificada (BCBA) y Proveedora de Servicios para el Autismo Registrada en Columbia Británica. Tiene una Maestría en Ciencias en Educación Especial por la Universidad de Dakota del Norte.
Karla se convirtió en BCBA en julio de 2020 y ha dedicado más de 15 años a trabajar con niños y jóvenes con diversas necesidades de apoyo. Su pasión reside en ayudar a familias e individuos marginados, y cuenta con una amplia experiencia en diversos entornos domésticos, comunitarios y clínicos. Como BCBA, Karla combina la ciencia del Análisis de Conducta Aplicada (ABA) con su profundo conocimiento de la competencia cultural, la neurodiversidad, el trauma y la inclusión para brindar apoyo integral.
Karla se dedica a apoyar a familias BIPOC y ofrece servicios en español para garantizar la accesibilidad para todos. También supervisa a quienes comienzan su carrera en ABA o a quienes desean aprender a apoyar a familias que enfrentan múltiples barreras sociales.
El sincero compromiso de Karla con su trabajo y sus clientes la impulsó a emprender el viaje de iniciar Colibri Behavioral Therapy.

Valentina Jaramillo Serna

Valentina es una técnóloga de conducta registrada (RBT) e intervencionista de conducta con un título asociado en
Artes en Ciencias de la Salud. Tiene dos
años de experiencia apoyando
niños con diversas necesidades de desarrollo. A Valentina le apasiona ayudar a los jóvenes estudiantes a desarrollar
habilidades significativas a través de
Individualizada y compasiva
care.
Fluent in both English and Spanish,
she values working closely with families to create inclusive, culturally responsive environments. Valentina is especially inspired by the opportunity to positively shape a child’s development and be
part of their growth during early intervention.

Sofía Correa Quintero
Intervencionista Conductual Sénior
Sofia is a Behavioural Therapist
working towards becoming a
Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT). She is currently pursuing a degree in Psychology with a minor in Learning and Developmental Disabilities at Simon Fraser University. Sofia is always seeking to expand her knowledge of neurodivergence, particularly autism and ADHD, and evidence-based therapies such as ABA and CBT, through ongoing reading and online coursework.
With over a year of experience in
the field, Sofia has supported children and youth in home and community settings, primarily working with preschoolers and school-aged children, as well as teenagers. Her approach is rooted in inclusion, cultural competence, and a deep commitment to helping neurodivergent individuals thrive. She finds joy in watching the children she supports grow through play and meaningful interactions, and she is deeply moved by the pride and joy expressed by their families when they begin to see real progress.
Sofia is passionate about dismantling
the stigma that still surrounds neurodiversity. She offers services in
both English and Spanish to ensure accessibility and proudly supports
BIPOC and immigrant families. Her drive to continue learning and improving comes from a heartfelt commitment to providing the most effective, informed, and compassionate care possible.

Joyce Torres

Joyce has over six years of experience
in the field of behavioral intervention, bringing warmth, dedication, and professionalism to every child and
family she supports. Currently working
as a Junior Behavior Consultant, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Disability and Applied Behavioral Analysis from Douglas College and is preparing to begin her Master’s studies to become
a Board Certified Behavior Analyst
(BCBA). Her experience across various settings, including schools, homes, daycares, and clinics, has shaped her into a compassionate and adaptable therapist with a well-rounded
approach.
Conocida por su actitud tranquila, su comunicación atenta y su atención centrada en el paciente, Joyce construye relaciones sólidas y de confianza tanto con los niños como con sus cuidadores. Valora la colaboración, el aprendizaje continuo y fomentar un ambiente positivo en cada sesión, lo que la convierte en un miembro valioso del equipo de Terapia Conductual Colibrí. En su tiempo libre, disfruta cocinando, viajando por el mundo, asistiendo a clases de spinning y pilates, tocando el piano, cantando y pasando tiempo con su perro, Heiro.

Maria Jose Gal’Lino Chia

María José Gal’Lino Chia is a Behavioural Therapist currently working toward her Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) certification. She is completing her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a Minor in Special Education at the University of British Columbia, where she has focused on culturally responsive interventions, exceptionalities, and inclusive education practices.
With two years of experience, María José brings a multicultural perspective to her work, combining evidence-based practices with a strong awareness of the cultural barriers many families face in accessing therapies. She is deeply committed to supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Emotional and Behavioural Disorders (EBD), and to creating environments where every child can thrive.
Passionate about equity and advocacy, María José offers services in Spanish, English, and Portuguese.

Jezelle Patricio Losorata

Jezelle is a Behavioural Interventionist with a deep passion for creating profound, positive changes in families through empowering children. Over the past three years, Jezelle has dedicated her time and expertise to shaping young adolescents into confident, capable and independent individuals. Along the way, she has built meaningful relationships with kids, their families, and support networks, fostering trust, growth, and long-term success.
Jezelle’s approach is rooted in compassion, patience, and a commitment to understanding the unique needs of each child she works with. She believes in the power of individualized strategies and has a proven track record of helping families navigate complex challenges.
With a foundational knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL), Jezelle is proud to offer services in both English and French. She is continuously expanding her linguistic capabilities to ensure better accessibility and effective communication with families from diverse backgrounds. Her goal is to bridge gaps and create inclusive environments where every child has the opportunity to thrive.

John Monteconrado

John Monteconrado is a Behavioural Interventionist and educator with over three years of experience working directly with children in therapeutic, educational, and recreational settings. He is currently completing his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of British Columbia, with a focus on Clinical Psychology, and is expected to graduate in May 2026.
Throughout his career, John has supported children and adolescents with diverse learning, behavioural, emotional, and developmental needs. His background as a teacher and instructor has allowed him to design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons while adapting instruction to meet each child’s unique learning style, abilities, and emotional needs.
In his clinical role, John implements Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies through individualized, play-based interventions that promote communication, social skills, emotional regulation, and daily living skills. He has extensive experience providing one-on-one support, collecting behavioural data, and collaborating closely with families, caregivers, and clinical supervisors to ensure consistent and effective intervention plans.
Fluent in Portuguese, and English and soon Spanish, John brings a culturally responsive and inclusive approach to his work. He is certified in Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Level C and trained in ethical standards (TCPS2: CORE), and is deeply committed to creating safe, supportive environments where children can grow, learn, and thrive.

Nichakul (Ling) Jiangpaisankul

Ling is a Behavior Interventionist with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
She brings over three years of experience supporting children with autism and developmental differences, including two years in home-based intervention and one year in an autism-focused school setting.
Fluent in both English and Thai, Ling is passionate about helping young children develop essential communication, social, and daily living skills through individualized and evidence-based intervention. She values creating warm, supportive environments where each child can thrive and is deeply committed to encouraging growth, independence, and confidence in every learner she works with.
Outside of work, Ling enjoys pilates, traveling, and exploring new foods and cultures, which reflect on her appreciation for diverse perspectives. She is proud to contribute to the Colibri Behavioral Therapy team, supporting children in reaching their fullest potential

Victor Tabosa

Victor is a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Interventionist with a strong academic foundation in Psychology and Linguistics. Expected to graduate from Simon Fraser University in Fall of 2026. With over two years of experience in the social service sector, he brings both practical expertise and heartfelt commitment to the individuals and families he supports.
Victor is skilled in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), using evidence-based strategies to foster meaningful growth, independence, and positive behavioral change. He is attentive, patient, and highly observant, allowing him to work with interventions tailored to each of his client’s needs. His background in linguistics enhances his understanding of communication development, enabling him to support clients in building expressive and receptive language skills effectively.
Fluent in Portuguese and English, and currently expanding his proficiency in Italian and Spanish, Victor is able to connect with diverse communities and create inclusive, culturally responsive environments and strengthen his communication with families and interdisciplinary teams alike.
Victor is deeply committed to supporting children’s growth at every stage of their development. He believes that with the right guidance, structure, and encouragement, every child can build the skills and confidence needed to thrive. Through compassionate care and evidence-based ABA practices, Victor strives to create positive, empowering experiences that nurture independence, strengthen communication, and celebrate each child’s unique potential.
